What is Super Smash Bros?
Nintendo Super Smash Bros is a crossover fighting game published by Nintendo. It is developed by HAL Laboratory, Game Arts, Sora Ltd, and Bandai Namco Games. This game was created by Masahiro Sakuri. It is released for Nintendo 64, Game Cube, Wii, Nintendo 3DS, and Wii U. It was first released on 1999 and the latest one was released on 2014. The game currently features 58 characters. All from all around the video game world including Pac Man, Mario, Link, Sonic, Picachu, and more! With so many various characters, you can play and fight with, Super Smash Bros is an awesome game.
Game Play
Super Smash Bros is a fighting game, it's also a quite an unusual game. Instead of knocking the player by punching the character and stuff, in this game you have to try and knock the character off the arena. The character can recover using jumps and abilities and must try to come back to the arena before the character falls. If the characters falls and die the others can continue, and the character will be out. There are also team play, time limits, and more! As you attack the character the percentage will go up until 999%. As it goes up, the character can be attacked progressively by an enemies attack. Some characters can recover easier than the others, due to its moves. Also if the character is light, it'd be easier to be knocked off, rather than heavy, fat characters.

Smash Bros.' controls are greatly simplified in comparison to other fighting games, with one button used for standard attacks and another used for special attacks. Players can perform different types of moves by holding the directional controls up, down, to the side, or in a neutral position while pressing the attack or special button. As such, each character has four types of ground attacks, mid-air attacks, and special attacks that can be performed. Quickly pressing or tapping a directional input and the attack button together while on the ground allows players to perform a chargeable "Smash Attack", which is generally more powerful than other attacks. When characters are hit by attacks, they receive hit stun that temporarily disallows any attacks to be made. This allows combos to be performed. A shield button allows players to put up a defensive shield which weakens with repeated use and will leave the player unable to move if broken. Combining the shield button with directional inputs and attack buttons allows the player to also perform dodges, rolls, grabs, and throws. The three basic actions in Super Smash Bros., attacking, grabbing, and shielding, are often described using a rock scissors paper analogy: attacking beats grabbing, grabbing beats shielding, and shielding beats attacking. When a player knocks another player off of the main platform, they may perform an action called edge-guarding. At the same time, the player that has been knocked off will try to recover by jumping back onto the stage and avoiding the other players' edge-guarding.
There are also various battle items, which you can pick up, during the match. Each item has different features and can be anything. For example, there's a home run bat.
