Basics

Factions

Each faction lets you craft different parts. There are 5 factions. Engineers, Lunatics, Nomads, Scavengers, and Steppenwolfs. You start off in the engineers and you unlock the next three factions at level ten and Steppenwolfs at level 25. Here is what each faction specializes in.

  • Engineers: Entry level items, and the relic weapons.
  • Lunatics: Speed and high alpha damage weapons.
  • Nomads: Balanced arsenal and good mobility.
  • Scavengers: Strong armor and powerful cannons.
  • Steppenwolfs: High-end weapons with great statistics.

Power Score

Your vehicle's power score is Crossout's approximation of how powerful your vehicle is. If you're a new player it's best to stick to below 2500 so you don't encounter many experienced players. They will DESTROY you.

The Market

The market is where players can buy and sell parts. You use coins to buy them. You don't get any coins to start off unless you bought a pack so the best way to earn money at the start is to attach a fuel barrel to your vehicle so you get fuel for every battle you win. Fuel can be used to play PVE missions also known as raids where you and other online players have to survive against an army of bots. But that's not what we need it for at the moment. Fuel fetches a fairly high price on the market considering you get it for free by winning a battle and you don't need to craft it. As you progress you can craft weapons and other parts to sell or sell the parts you don't use but start by selling fuel so you have a few coins to spend.

Tips

  • Always attach your parts to more than one other part unless you're attaching it to your cabin. This will ensure that if the part supporting it falls off, that part won't fall off as well. This applies especially to weapons and other important pieces. As leaving them attached to only one surface leaves them vulnerable
  • Armor your cabin well. If your cabin is destroyed your whole vehicle is gone no matter how many parts remain. Placing your cabin in the middle instead of at the front also helps as you will have front and back protection
  • If you have decorative items use them. they will help you level up faster
  • Hide your fuel barrels and generators under your vehicle or in a protected space as they will explode and possibly destroy your vehicle if destroyed.
  • Keep moving at all times keeping still leaves you vulnerable to enemy fire.
  • If an enemy that is considerably more powerful than you is attacking you, run! If you can't drive away then take cover somewhere. Don't charge into battle and try to destroy him if he has better weapons or more health. live to fight another day.
